A Don't Hug Me I'm Scared Fanzine

A FREE SFW digital zine centring around the YouTube short horror series: Don't Hug Me I'm Scared

What is this zine about?
-

You're Invited! is a free, digital 'Don't Hug Me, I'm Scared'-themed fanzine. Once completed, the link to access and download it will be made publicly available. This zine will only feature art (and potentially merchandise, if there's enough interest.)This is a project with a lot of folks who are experienced with art, but are newcomers to zine-making; if you're interested in signing up but have little to no experience with zines, that's a-ok! This is a learning experience for everyone. Our primary focus with this project is to bring fan artists of DHMIS together, to collaborate, to learn, and to create a fun end product we can all be proud of!If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail us at [email protected]!

FAQ
-
Q: What is a zine?
A: A zine is usually a non – commercial, non professional publication, kind of like a magazine but with a twist. The main difference between a magazine and a zine is that zines are not out there to make a profit but, rather, to add other, often unheard voices into the mix. Zines are usually made out of interest and passion and are often self-published by the writer/artist/creator. Typically zines are made using collage techniques and are then photocopied since these are means available to almost everyone.
=
Q: How old do contributors be to apply?
A: Contributors must be 16+ in order to be considered.
=
Q: Is this zine SFW?
A: Yes and no. It is SFW because any form of sexual content is absolutely prohibited, but there will be gore since DHMIS is a horror series. But it is technically still a SFW zine
=
Q: Is shipping content allowed?
A: Yep! As long as your pitch contains nothing sexual and/or problematic.
=
Q: Am I allowed to make human designs of the cast for my piece?
A: Absolutely, you have all the creativity in the world with your designs!
=
Q: Will there be other artist roles?
A: Yes. Alongside of page and spread artists, there are options for a comic artist and merchandise artists if there are enough contributors!
=
Q: Why is this an artist only zine?
A: Mod June is a first time zine creator and they are more familiar on working with artists compared to writers.
